The Department of Biomedical Engineering at Alnoor University is holding a workshop on artificial intelligence concepts
Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Saad Altaan, Dean of the College of Engineering at Alnoor University, and in the presence of Professor Dr. Khazal Fathi Zidan, Dean of the College of Education, the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the college held a scientific workshop on the morning of Tuesday, March 3, 2026, focusing on concepts of artificial intelligence and its contemporary applications in engineering and medical fields. The workshop was conducted and its topics presented by Lubna Ahmed Shehab, Assistant Lecturer in the department, who covered the theoretical foundations of artificial intelligence, the mechanisms of algorithm operation, and the key areas of its utilization in biomedical engineering—particularly in medical data analysis, diagnostic support, and the development of intelligent biomedical devices and technologies. The workshop witnessed notable engagement from the students, who posed a series of questions and inquiries, adding a productive interactive dimension to the session that enhanced their understanding of the concepts presented and contributed to broadening their perspectives on the future of artificial intelligence and its role in advancing the healthcare and engineering sectors.
