The Department of Civil Engineering at the College of Engineering, Alnoor University, held a scientific workshop on the morning of Saturday, 28/2/2026, entitled (Water Treatment Methods and Their Environmental Impact), attended by a number of the college’s faculty members and students.
The workshop was supervised by Professor Dr. Saad Alta'an, Dean of the College of Engineering, who also attended its session, while Dr. Diaa Aldin Ata Allah, a faculty member of the department, delivered a lecture highlighting the latest technologies in water treatment and explaining their role in reducing pollution and preserving water resources.
The workshop addressed the mechanisms of physical, chemical, and biological treatment, in addition to highlighting the environmental impact of treatment plants and ways to develop them in line with sustainability standards and environmental protection.
This event is part of the series of scientific activities organized by the College of Engineering at Alnoor University, aiming to raise environmental awareness among students and to link theoretical aspects with practical applications in engineering fields. The workshop was attended by Dr. Nizar Abdul Latif, Dean of the College of Applied Arts.
