Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Saad Alta’an, Dean of the College of Engineering at Alnoor University, and in the presence of Professor Dr. Taha Hussein Alsalim, Head of the Petroleum Engineering Department at the College, third-year students who have successfully advanced to the fourth year began their summer training at Ain Zalah Oil Field.
The month-long practical training program aims to develop their practical skills and bridge the gap between academic knowledge and the professional field.
On the first day of the training, the students took a comprehensive introductory tour of the oil field, during which they learned about its various departments, production units, and work procedures. The tour was supervised by specialized engineers from the oil field staff, who provided a detailed explanation of the nature of the work, the stages of production, the types of petroleum products, as well as the occupational safety procedures adopted in the work environment.
The students’ field-based summer training represents an important component, as it bridges the gap between theoretical academic study and practical work in the oil extraction sector.
It also serves as a pivotal opportunity to acquire precise engineering and field experience, including operating production equipment, processing oil and gas, implementing occupational health and safety procedures, and working effectively as part of technical and engineering teams in a challenging environment.
This training is part of Alnoor University’s commitment to providing its students with high-quality field training opportunities that contribute to enhancing their practical experience and preparing them for the labor market, through cooperation with leading industrial institutions in the oil and energy sector.
