About the Department
The Department of Civil Engineering is considered one of the oldest and most important departments in engineering colleges. It is concerned with the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of infrastructure that serves society. This includes roads, bridges, buildings, dams, water supply and sewage networks, airports, coastal structures, and others. This specialization combines scientific knowledge, technical skills, and engineering creativity to ensure the construction of safe, economical, and environmentally sustainable structures.

A graduate of the Civil Engineering Department is an engineer capable of: Analyzing, designing, constructing, and maintaining structural projects with high efficiency. Using modern technologies and engineering software in design and analysis. Applying principles of sustainability and environmental protection in engineering projects. Working within multidisciplinary teams and managing projects effectively. Adhering to professional ethics and occupational safety standards. Communicating effectively, both written and orally, with colleagues, clients, and the community. Continuing self-learning and ongoing professional development.
