About the Department
The Department of Architectural Engineering is one of the departments within colleges of engineering. It focuses on educating and training students in the design and planning of buildings and urban spaces in a way that integrates aesthetic, functional, and environmental aspects. This discipline combines art and engineering, requiring a deep understanding of form, space, materials, construction, and human behavior, in addition to technical and practical skills.
Department Objectives
Preparing architects capable of designing innovative and sustainable architectural projects. Understanding the social, cultural, and environmental contexts related to architecture. Developing students’ creative and critical thinking skills. Using drawing and design tools and techniques, including modern digital software (such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and others).
