Students of the Petroleum Engineering Department at Alnoor University are training in the oil fields of Basra.

Third-year students in the Petroleum Engineering Department at Alnoor University, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Taha Hussein Ali AL-Salim Head of the Department, continue their training in the city of Basra since 2025/7/30 through participation in the Startup Exchange training program organized by the Mishwar Foundation, which aims to develop students’ skills in the field of petroleum, along with enhancing concepts of entrepreneurship and innovation. This is carried out through practical workshops and intensive training with specialists and experts from various fields in petroleum exploration and production. This participation represents a real opportunity to refine their skills and benefit from real-world experiences in the oil fields of Basra Governorate, contributing to building the professional future they aspire to. It also aims to represent Alnoor University and the Petroleum Engineering Department at the College of Engineering in the best possible way, with their eyes set on the goal they wish to achieve — making use of every minute of training to become competent petroleum engineers. This is in order to represent Alnoor University, with its high academic standards and close follow-up of its students, in preparing engineering cadres worthy of our beloved country.
