Alnoor University - The Establishment of the College of Engineering

About the College

Engineering is defined as the optimal utilization of natural resources (materials and energy) for human use through the creative application of scientific principles in designing and developing structures, machinery, devices, or manufacturing methods. This involves predicting the product's functionality, process efficiency, user safety, and property protection. Engineering primarily relies on physics, mathematics, and chemistry, extending to solid material sciences, fluid mechanics, thermal forces, modification and transformation methods, and analytical systems.

College Vision

Establishing a dynamic educational system that balances theoretical foundations with practical skills to keep pace with advancements in engineering sciences. Preparing graduates who meet the labor market's needs and skill requirements, capable of creativity and innovation, and committed to professional ethics.

College Mission

Creating a continuously evolving and innovative university environment that fosters the development of administrative and field leaders among engineering cadres who are qualified intellectually, professionally, and ethically. This enables them to compete, work collaboratively, innovate, and excel while embedding a culture of entrepreneurship and lifelong learning. Promoting scientific research, development, publishing, and knowledge exchange in alignment with best academic, professional, and digital practices. Making a local, regional, and global impact by providing solutions and developing technologies to address societal challenges and contribute to enhancing the cognitive capabilities of individuals and institutions.

College Goals

1-Preparing engineering cadres qualified both scientifically and practically to handle modern technologies and immediately engage in professional work due to their prior interaction with the work environment. 2-Providing a conducive environment to achieve best academic and professional practices and foster digital transformation while maintaining academic competencies. 3-Supporting research excellence aimed at solving local and regional community problems and promoting sustainable development by leveraging local and international research collaboration opportunities. 4-Promoting institutional excellence, good governance, digital transformation, and adherence to comprehensive quality systems in both academic and administrative domains. 5-Securing financial resources to contribute to the development of the college's infrastructure and facilities.
