Students of Construction Engineering and Project Management at Alnoor University explore one of their future fields of work during a scientific field trip

With the aim of enhancing the practical aspect and linking academic study with real-world application, the Department of Building Engineering and Project Management at the College of Engineering, Alnoor University, organized a scientific field trip on Sunday morning at 19/4/2026 for first-year students to the Badush Cement Plant, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Saad Alta’an, Dean of the College of Engineering, accompanied by a number of the department’s faculty members.
During the visit, the students were introduced to the operational mechanisms within the plant and the stages of cement production, starting from the extraction of raw materials, passing through grinding and burning processes, and ending with packaging and distribution. This gave them the opportunity to closely explore the real work environment and understand the requirements of the labor market in this field.
The students also listened to a detailed explanation from the technical and engineering staff at the plant about the modern technologies used, the adopted occupational safety procedures, as well as the challenges facing the cement industry sector.
This scientific trip comes as part of a series of academic activities organized by the department, aiming to develop students’ skills and enhance their practical experience, thereby contributing to the preparation of engineering professionals capable of effectively integrating into the job market after graduation.
