Dr. Essam Mohammed Saleh, a faculty member in the Department of Petroleum Engineering at the College of Engineering, Alnoor University, has published a book titled "Fundamentals of Reservoir Engineering." The book consists of six chapters. The first three chapters focus on the properties of oil and gas, such as density, viscosity, expansion coefficient, formation volume factor, and other specifications, as well as laboratory tests for oil and gas that are crucial for engineering calculations. The last three chapters cover important rock properties, such as porosity, permeability, saturation, and the laboratory methods used to deduce them. Additionally, the book includes the mechanics involved in driving oil and gas to the surface during production, along with volumetric calculations for the quantity of oil and gas present in oil reservoirs.
