A new book has been published by Dr. Abdul Azim Mahmoud, a faculty member in the Department of Petroleum Engineering at the College of Engineering, Alnoor University. The book, titled Exercises in Well Logging, is written in English and serves as a textbook for students in the departments of petroleum engineering, geology, and geophysics. The scientific content is divided into eleven chapters, each providing a brief explanation of a specific well-logging method, along with a set of mathematical exercises and problems. These are designed to give students a comprehensive understanding of how to use the charts associated with each method in a sequential and simplified manner. This approach helps in identifying the rock layers penetrated by the well, the types of fluids and barriers present, and in deducing porosity and permeability.
