The head of the Department of Petroleum Engineering, Dr. Taha Al-Salem, has published a new research paper on the concentration of fluoride in the groundwater of the Bashiqa region.

A research paper by Dr. Taha Hussein Al-Salem, the head of the Department of Petroleum Engineering at the College of Engineering, Alnoor University, has been published in the Journal of Healthcare and Nursing Research. The paper is titled
"Fluoride Ion Concentration in Groundwater of the Bashiqa Region in Mosul City and Its Impact on Human Health."
The study highlights
that the concentration of fluoride in groundwater depends on geological conditions. It is well-known that the natural composition of elements in our environment (such as bedrock, soil, water, and plants) can be a primary cause of either the enrichment or depletion of these elements, potentially posing a direct threat to human health.
